This book exists because the same question kept coming my way: How do you make a living as a writer and thinker online?

Instead of repeating scattered advice, I decided to lay it all out in one place.

I started writing online in 2023, while working full-time as a salesman. I began with 0 views, 0 subscribers and $0 in revenue. I knew absolutely nothing about making a living as an independent writer or thinker.

I was working 50-hour weeks and struggling to carve out time for serious reading and writing. After hundreds of hours and numerous failed attempts, I finally developed a model for effectively monetizing knowledge work online.

A few months later, I reached $18,000 per month in revenue through classes, mentorships and other offers.

I now write and teach on the internet full-time.

So how do you do it? How do you build a sustainable career around your intellectual and creative work?

The gap between regular writers/thinkers and “bestsellers” isn’t talent, luck, or some secret hack. It’s simply a matter of:

  1. Producing work that people find valuable

  2. Crafting an offer around your knowledge and interests

  3. Positioning it in a compelling way

I personally guarantee that if you follow this 3-part formula, your life will change in ways you can’t imagine.

Table of Contents

  1. Designing an intellectual life

  2. How to write for the public

  3. How to have more interesting ideas

  7. Aligning your content with your offer
